SUZKA

Suzka is currently promoting her new album 'SOURCE', produced by Vago and mastered by Kemo of (the Vanguards) featuring Canada's Godfather of hip-hop, Maestro Fresh Wes, American star Donnie Darko from (Never So Deep Records), Bermudian emcee Jaro, Montreal's Annakin Slayd, and Vancouver's Emotionz. 

  She was raised in a Czechoslovakian household listening primarily to classical music and performing with her sister on the piano since the age of five in retirement homes and other venues. At the same time she would escape to the local mountains and Whistler to pursue her love of ski racing.

  By her late teens she temporarily left music to pursue a career as a downhill ski racer and toured Europe with the Czech National team. That experience gave her a high world ranking and interest from American universities which got her a scholarship at the University of Nevada-Reno.

  Soon after the busy schedule of competitions and school she missed her entertainment roots and returned to Vancouver to find her passion for music again. She found it however in other styles of music after several mentors introduced her to gypsy jazz, world, hip-hop and soul music which led to touring and recording with various world fusion bands and worldwide MC's.

  Best known for live improv but also composes and arranges string parts for various artists, writes and sings her own music lending it to films, TV series, and commercials.

  So far she has performed live with 'the RZA' (Wu-Tang Clan) on the Bobby Digital tour with Stone Mecca, Maestro Fresh Wes at Champagne Campaign, Bukue One at the Roxy in LA, opened for Deepak Choprak w/Bachan Kaur at Queen Elizabeth Theatre, K'Naan at Malkin Bowl w/Chin Injeti, and for Strunz & Farah w/Tamburarasa at the Commodore.

* She was the featured violinist at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver at the Samsung Events Gala for VIPs and celebrities. 

* A passionate activist for nature Suzka also performs live with artist Garett Campbell Wilson for various UN Earth Summit events hosted by WE CANADA.
